Purpose and goal
We hope that the trip will lead to new contacts and partners, primarily through the opportunity to connect with a new distributor with whom we have a pre-booked meeting as part of the program, but also by exchanging knowledge and experiences with companies and people with deep knowledge of the Canadian and North American markets under Business Sweden´s Canada - Sweden Innovation Days. We also look forward to the opportunity to get a better picture of the Canadian market.
Expected effects and result
We expect that the initial dialogue on site will result in an in-depth contact with the company with which we have a pre-booked meeting, and that this will eventually result in a distribution agreement for the Canadian - and hopefully also the North American - market. We also expect to gain a better understanding of the potential of our call for proposals in degradable bioplastics on the Canadian market, and to establish contacts with interesting potential partners.
Planned approach and implementation
We will participate in a Swedish delegation of startups to Canada organized by Ignite Swedens and take part in a programme connected to exploring Canada as a potential market for our company. The programme includes lectures on market conditions, introductions to various supporting actors, and in-depth matchmaking with at least one Canadian major company to discuss a possible collaboration. In addition, we hope to establish contact with additional companies during the above-mentioned event.
