Important results from the project

All of the trip´s objective have been largely achieved. Our understanding of the region and the healthcare system is strengthened, with better conditions for future collaborations, clinical studies and establishment in the region. We have an increased understanding of possible financing opportunities and how we can best reach potential partners. Initial discussions about collaborations have been made, with opportunities to within e.g. clinical studies and commercialization in the future.

Expected long term effects

Long-term effects include an increased motivation to find collaborations in Singapore and the region, as well as implement projects in the country. Through an increased understanding of the entire process from idea -> development -> validation -> approval -> launch, the project has made us more prepared for the future. In practical terms, the project has led to a refined plan for which steps we could take in the region, both in product development and validation, and future commercialization.

Approach and implementation

The project included the full planned schedule within the delegation, where Acorai was represented by Dan Vikström (Finance Manager). The activities were well balanced, involving all parts of the healthcare system, product development, validation, approvals and launch. The schedule was followed to a very high degree, with no unexpected circumstances. The cooperation between the delegates worked excellently, with a strong desire for cooperation with Singapore and with each other within Sweden.
