Important results from the project

The project has largely achieved its original objective through Novohydro´s participation in Sweden–Canada Innovation Days 2026 in Toronto. The trip has contributed to strengthening the company´s international network and identifying new opportunities for research and industry collaborations. Through matchmaking meetings, conference activities and networking, Novohydro has been able to present its nickel–hydrogen-based battery technology and engage in dialogues about future development.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute to strengthening Novohydro´s international competitiveness in the long term and to accelerate the development and commercialization of the company´s nickel-hydrogen battery technology. The established contacts create the conditions for long-term research, collaborations and future pilot installations. The collaborations can also contribute to increased technical maturity, industrial scale-up and establishment in the North American market in the long term.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented through participation in Sweden–Canada Innovation Days 2026 in Toronto from 5 to 9 October. The activities included a conference, matchmaking meetings, study visits and networking with research and industry partners. The structure was well adapted to the project´s objective and was implemented according to the schedule without major obstacles. The collaboration worked well and the trip created valuable contacts and opportunities for future international partnerships.
