Important results from the project

The project exceeded its goals by a wide margin. PUSH was established as a recognized and valued platform that mobilizes actors across the entire food system around the mission of promoting a healthy life for all through food. We developed a strong collaborative structure, identified six high-leverage intervention areas, built a growing project portfolio, and generated an unexpectedly strong impact in policy, innovation, and communication.

Expected long term effects

PUSH has laid the foundation for long-term system transformation, where more food actors are motivated to collaborate and mobilize for a health-promoting and sustainable food system. The knowledge, insights, learnings, and working models generated can continue to support innovation, policy development, and prevention through food. In the long term, this is expected to contribute to improved public health, reduced societal costs, and strengthened resilience.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out as planned, with an approach based on system analysis, mobilisation, prototype development, and continuous learning and collaboration. We quickly built a strong and attractive brand through communication and other activities, which positively supported the mobilisation. The timeline was followed with minor adjustments due to growing interest. Collaboration worked well, and the project developed in line with – and in some areas beyond – expectations.
