Important results from the project
The purpose of this planning grant was to find a suitable collaborative private company outside of Sweden at which the applicant will spend about 18 months over a 3-year period to develop a novel research field and to promote personal career development. After a broad investigation and travel to Shanghai, one company located in the industrial area in Pudong has been selected for further collaboration.
Expected long term effects
After a wide-ranging investigation and discussions with the personnel of the companies, BIOTECAN was selected as the collaborative company. We reached an agreement regarding the collaboration and the responsibility of both participants. The company also appointed an assistant researcher to work on the collaboration project.
Approach and implementation
The biotechnology company BIOTECAN has a powerful research and development platform, and the combination of our work with the company´s facilities will be used to develop new products for screening infants at high risk for brain injury. The collaborative project will be implemented as soon as the further application is approved.
