Project duration November 2023 - November 2024
Status Completed
Venture Behavioral changes in the mobility system
Call Human-centered mobility - The mobility system of the future based on human behavior and perception

Important results from the project

We have included people with hearing loss and through this created a picture of how public transport and autonomous buses are experienced. This image together with exploration of the context in general has then formed the basis of a design process where we developed ideas documented in the form of future autonomous mobility scenarios. These concepts have then been evaluated by various actors, in order to be able to test the most promising elements among the ideas in the next step.

Expected long term effects

The role of autonomous buses in the mobility system of the future is explored through future project where the concepts are applied and evaluated, and we get a clearer picture of which solutions actually have an effect on the target group´s experience of public transport. The number of people who see public transport as a possible alternative is increasing, especially for the target group.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out together with researchers in design and behavioral science and the state´s road and transport research institute, through a design process carried out from design ethnography to workshops and idea generation and finally evaluation where concepts for future mobility were reviewed by stakeholders.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
