Coordinator Celluxtreme AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 125 000
Project duration June 2022 - December 2022
Status Completed
Venture Strategic Innovation Programme on Lightweight

Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project was to increase CelluXtreme´s ability to deepen the dialogue with potential customers through the development of a number of strategically selected material demonstrators. The goal was to produce three different demonstrators based on CelluXtreme´s fiber and a bio-based epoxy system.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** One of three planned material demonstrators could be manufactured successfully, which means that the direct benefit will be limited and continued development is required to reach the objective set for the project. The effect of the project will be the setup for further trials and work together with RISE to manufacture the two remaining demonstrators. A set of material samples that demonstrate the possibilities of CelluXtreme´s fiber will be an important step in CelluXtreme´s development work.

Approach and implementation

Thin composite materials have been manufactured based on CelluXtreme´s fibers. Material testing has also been carried out. The project has been led by CelluXtreme. The detailed planning of the project activities started in June but the main part of the work was carried out during the period October to December 2022. Manufacture of fiber material and preparation of fiber samples was successfully carried out by CelluXtreme. Methods and dies for the manufacture of material demonstrators were developed at RISE. Manufacturing of samples was carried out at RISE with limited success.
