Purpose and goal

The Yes Way has developed programs, new methods, and tools together with four incubators with the overall goal of increasing the proportion of entrepreneurs and business owners who identify themselves as women and non-binary. The Yes Way consists of two parts: 1) Internal gender equality and inclusion work on incubators and 2) New support and tools for meeting and developing women and non-binary in their entrepreneurship. The Yes Way has, in addition to the method development, led to increased knowledge, awareness, and several internally developed processes and strategies.

Expected results and effects

The Yes Ways developed programs, methods and tools are expected to contribute to increasing the inclusion and gender equality work internally on incubators and, in the long run, contribute to an equal and inclusive innovation system. The 23 activities, methods and programs have contributed to several evolved internal processes and new projects as well as increased competence and understanding of the target group. The project has strengthened the collaboration between various incubators and innovation supporters, both national and international, through SISP, EBN and JP Morgan.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been done according to the project plan, which focused on local anchoring by partners and the introduction of needs analysis, activities and method materials through exchange of experience, peer-to-peer exercises and an overall experimental approach. The communication has led to national interest and dissemination. In order to achieve change, internal new processes, organizational development, new knowledge, understanding, tools, and methods are needed. The system needs to adapt to new perspectives in business.
