Important results from the project
The absolute majority of the project was not completed (and the funds were not used) because of shortage of staff, and the goals have not been fulfilled. The project deadline could not be moved forward and the money that hasn´t been used will be payed back to Vinnova. However, we hope to be able to conduct the study in the future.
Expected long term effects
Despite the fact that the majority of the work couldn´t take place, Wikimedia Sverige now has a better understanding of the field. Furthermore, the chapter has identified many relevant organizations that we hope to be able to work together with in the future in different projects, not the least a Horizon 2020 project we have started developing.
Approach and implementation
The initial work focused on a literature review and work on the theoretical basis, followed by the development of relevant interview questions. The work was however halted because of a number of organizational changes; and the interview material wasn´t finalized. A number of contacts were taken with relevant organizations, to identify who to interview, and to discuss their work. As many of the organisations had the same type of goals as us, we have been able to continue the discussion about possible future cooperations.
