Purpose and goal
To consolidate prosperous world-class, needs-driven drug delivery science and to boost pharmaceutical innovation in Sweden but also in Europe at large.
Expected effects and result
SweDeliver is a world-leading drug delivery research infrastructure . Specific outcomes: 1) Peer-reviewed publications co-authored by partners, published in leading journals. 2) Translational results used by partners to move novel drug delivery formulations strategies to clinical studies. 3) Knowledge needed to proceed product development of challenging drug molecules. 4) Increased mobility of partners. 5) Attractiveness for international recruitment 6) Attracting additional funding
Planned approach and implementation
SweDeliver focuses on research within parenteral, oral and aerosol-based medicines. The research is conducted in 3 work packages supported by technological platforms in computer-based modeling and simulation, new technologies including particle design, 3R and clinical translation. The center focuses on attracting young researchers and talent (master´s students, doctoral students, post docs) to Sweden and retaining talent by establishing contact with Swedish and European pharmaceutical industry.
