Important results from the project
Forskning & Framsteg (research & progress) is published to provide popular science, information on research and research results and the role of research in society. The goal is to reach out and describe relevant and interesting research in all areas of research.
Expected long term effects
During the period, 10 regular issues were published per year. In addition, seminars were organised e.g. on robotics and brain research. The published magazine has reached the expected target audience, and the magazine circulation has been stable and the audience on digital platforms has increased.
Approach and implementation
Due to the fact that the journal not only rely on subscription fees, but also receives contributions from a large number of research financiers, the magazine can be staffed with qualified science journalists who monitor Swedish research and can explain to those who are not experts. Through reader panels, the editors can check what attracts readers, as well as if readers are satisfied and continue to read. In addition to satisfying readers the staff also ensures that the research being described is relevant.
