Purpose and goal
The annual Production Cluster Conference took place May 22 23. This was the 10th edition of the conference, a national meeting place for research and innovation in production technology. Over 200 people gathered to get access to the latest research results in production. But as important as the presentations is the conference as a meeting place for production technicians, researchers from industry, academia, and institutes.
Expected results and effects
The presentations were made in parallel sessions linked to different Production Clusters. In addition, sessions were held on Additive Manufacturing, Electrification, MAX IV and ESS, and projects from Production2030´s call for "New services for manufacturing industry". In plenary, a presentation was made of ongoing strategy "Agenda Swedish Production" as well as a presentation of Northvolt´s battery initiative. Electrification was a theme also in the panel discussion "How does electrification affect production in Sweden", with participants from companies and institutes.
Planned approach and implementation
In addition to sessions directly linked to different production clusters, each year different new sessions are created around current topics. The panel discussion with representatives of companies and research is an appreciated feature of the Conference.
