Purpose and goal
The textile industry is one of the most resource-demanding sectors globally and the project´s overall aim is to contribute to a more sustainable and circular textile industry. The project´s objective is to create a digital platform that makes the local tailors the hub of the circular transition. This is done by making existing repair services more accessible and by making the tailors act as sustainable delivery points for return handling and secondhand sales.
Expected effects and result
The project has identified three circular value propositions to be analyzed, designed and implemented: • Local repair services directly in the webshop • Local return handling via the local tailors • The local tailors as the sustainable delivery point for secondhand sales The project´s primary results is a fully developed prototype of the digital platform. In the long run, it should contribute to more sustainable and circular textile consumption.
Planned approach and implementation
The value propositions have different degrees of maturity and the implementation will therefore be slightly different per value proposition, but all of them vill go through the following steps at an overall level: • In-depth customer needs analysis based on the different the actors perspectives • Analysis and design of the respective value proposition • Develop working prototype solutions for respective value propositions • Carry out and evaluate test launch in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö
