Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to develop BioInnovations´ next Innovation project in an open and transparent process. The work was based on the area analysis and actor dialogue earlier carried out within BioInnovation and which clearly showed the need for R&I in the areas: chemical recycling of regenerated fibers, mechanical recycling and innovative fiber blends and yarn spinning techniques. The goal was a project that; captures the research and development needs identified, puts the need owners in the driver´s seat and gathers the best performing skills.

Expected long term effects

The basis for BioInnovation´s next Innovation project in the textile area has been developed. The project is focused on previously identified areas and a strong consortium has been created for the implementation of the project. The process has been carried out with great openness and transparency, from analysis to project development, the goal has been to reach as many companies, institutes and universities as possible to ensure the right participation in the project. Desired effects of the project are collaboration for Swedish competitiveness in sustainable and circular textiles

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project is the last step in three. The first step was an area analysis of bio-based and circular textiles where three areas were crystallized. The second step involved an in-depth dialogue with identified key players in these areas and in step three the content and team for an Innovation project were developed. The work process has been successful, a strong Innovation project has been developed that meets the players´ needs for R&I and aims to develop areas weher investments are available.
