Important results from the project

The preparatory projects purpose was been to investigate and validate the need for and the interest in a test bed that provides access to Norrbotten´ unique demographics, as well as historical data available about the region´s residents. The goal was to fully understand the needs for, and clearly recommend the functional requirements for the establishment of a test bed for active and healthy ageing. Including the development of a business model, the formation of a testbed partnership and plans for an implementation project.

Expected long term effects

The preparation project´s validation work resulted in a number of functionalities that the test bed must fulfill in order to be attractive, which in turn is the basis for the value proposition that was developed and validated. This value proposition attracted a balanced group of partners who want to contribute to the development of the test bed. The effect of the work carried out will consist of a good partnership with equal values, which together will work for establishing a test bed with equal effects.

Approach and implementation

The validation work was carried out by mapping different stakeholders, who were then interviewed about the characteristics of the test bed. To be able to conduct an informed and consistent dialogue, a brief description was used, as well as an interview template for each stakeholder group. In this way, about 40 organizations were contacted which resulted in about 20 calls. The preliminary study was completed with a workshop with all potential partners, which in turn resulted in a basis for the application for an implementation project.
