Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to supply a time and cost effective foundation for Rail Road Electrification Towers. We have managed to develope foundations for Rail Road Electrification Towers.
Expected long term effects
It´s been difficult to find clear demands about what standards to use when designing foundations for Rail Road Electrification Towers. Trafikverket says one thing and the market says something else. Trafikverket has a submission of today standard that we have to follow. The market believes that the demands in the submission is to tough. We have tried to find out what is correct but without success. The result of this is that we designed two foundations, one foundation that fulfils Trafikverkets demands and one foundation that works with the markets demands.
Approach and implementation
Because of that the market believe that today submission of the standard is to tough we decided that the best way would be to make practical tests. Unfortunately we didn´t find any ´Trafikverket projects´ that were interested in testing our foundations. At the same time we realized that the result of the a practical test can be difficult to use for other projects. We then found a project where a customer was interested in our foundation. We made theoretical calculations that fulfilled the submission. The result turned out positive.
