Tactical 2.0: First-of-a-kind Aerial Connectivity Hub Enabling Rapid Deployment of Sovereign, Mobile, High-throughput, and Secure 5G/6G Networks for Next-gen Tactical Communications

Purpose and goal

To develop airborne wireless networks that offer high security, high transmission speed and fast deployment. The networks will be used for both military and civilian applications and will be insensitive to conventional jamming methods and technologies.

Expected effects and result

Implement and validate an airborne wireless link that supports data rates over 1 Gbps.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will combine advanced UAV systems with TERASi´s innovative mm-wave modules. The project includes both mechanical and electronic integration of its systems and the development of related software. The integrated system will be demonstrated in an outdoor environment where the link´s capacity, range and ability to handle electronic jamming signals will be validated.
