Important results from the project
The overall goal of this project has been to create a system demonstrator for data-driven primary prevention on an individual-centric level with a focus on the elderly individuals. A system that can contribute to good and equal health. We have reached our objective with the preparation project and are ready to create scalable and long-term solutions that can be implemented in regions and can work nationally. We have also built a larger constellation of actors who can come together in a large-scale ambitious collaboration to practically realize the system demonstrator.
Expected long term effects
The expected result of the described system is to give the individual a longer healthy life. We believe that this can be achieved. New opportunities are created for an individual to use their own health data to take greater personal responsibility for their health development with the system we have designed. With this also comes great economic gains. According to our initial and current calculations, these are estimated to amount to tens of billions SEK, mainly in the form of reduced resource needs for regions and municipalities, for the chronic diseases that can be prevented or delayed.
Approach and implementation
We have implemented our initial action plan that was divided into four different work packages, which together created the basis for implementing a large-scale system demonstrator. All conceivable dimensions in a systems perspective have been considered. To do this, we have collaborated with a large and representative breadth of different system stakeholders, other actors and experts, as well as other ongoing projects within different parts of the proposed system. In total, we have collaborated with more than 100 people from over 40 different organizations.
