Purpose and goal

To develop a product based on our patents. This part of the project is for the time until product verification and validation starts. Project results prove that all requirements can be fulfilled. The project has been delayed. In the project we cooperate with competent partner companies. Complete principle prototypes are available for all modules of the product except one.

Results and expected effects

To develop a long term product based on the patented concept for patients with congestive heart failure at significant lower cost compared to existing products and powered with an implanted rechargeable battery. The product shall be implanted minimally invasive. The product is based on recently published Swedish research and works according to a completely different method compared to existing products. The company has been started to develop the product. The project is still ongoing and all initial requirements will be possible to fulfil.

Approach and implementation

The project has been executed according to the project plan that was part of the application. This plan was divided as follows: -Validation of principle product including animal testing -Development and introduction of quality system in accordance with ISO 13485 and QSR -Establish complete design input for the product. -Develop design output for the different modules of the product. The modules have been developed in parallell and in cooperation with partner companies. Some modules have changed during the project. - Secure and expand intellectual properties
