Important results from the project

The project has met the project goals. Activities carried out have supported Swelife´s program office and project portfolio, and Vinnova´s internationalization work. The project has strengthened investments of strategic importance for Sweden, in line with the Life Science strategy by positioning Swedish areas of strength internationally, both in call texts and in project consortia.

Expected long term effects

One strategic project has been granted funding from the EU. Several national initiatives have identified relevant international collaboration and financing opportunities and all have applied for, or are, preparing applications for international financing. The project has developed a model for increased participation in Horisont Europa. The model will be used to increase internationalization of relevant strategic investments in the future. Expected long-term effects are that Swedish presence, collaboration and influence in international R&I opportunities will increase.

Approach and implementation

Collaboration between project manager and portfolio managers at Swelife worked well and enabled efficient matching of Swedish projects with international collaboration and financing opportunities. Collaborations with project manager for strategic projects worked well and also collaborations with Vinnova on internationalization activities (official visits, webinars, conferences etc.) worked excellently. Slightly fewer activities than planned have been carried out due to Covid-19.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
