Purpose and goal

In the project Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum has had an aim to initiate, conduct and communicate independent policy relevant research to share the latest knowledge in entrepreneurship, innovation, business dynamics and growth with private and public decision-makers. The foundation has annually organized thirty events and published ten publications and is the founding organization behind the most prestigious international research prize in the field, Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research.

Expected results and effects

The focus of the research foundation has been to elevate the public debate with high quality research conducted at national and international universities and to disseminate generated results. Every year the foundation has published ten research-based reports and organized 30 seminars that contribute to better informed and long-term policy decisions. Scientifically reviewed and published articles, as well as debate articles in national press, are also included in the project submissions.

Planned approach and implementation

The task has been to initiate research projects within the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation, conduct the research and communicate the results and policy proposals. Two projects have been in special focus: Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, GEM, and the Swedish Economic Forum Report. In these projects, reputable national and international researchers have been engaged to contribute to annual reports, engage in launch events and participate in the public debate.
