The objective of the Swedish-American Life Tech Forum was to assist and accelerate the export and expansion of Swedish innovation by providing competitive business intelligence-networking opportunities and support for market entry. SACC NE is proud to have achieved the objectives, based on the feedback of participating companies there was plenty of networking opportunities, unique REAL business intelligence and potential support for market entry. 100% of participants stated that there is high demand for an event like the LifeTech Forum, that is should be an annual event.

Results and expected effects

The effect and outcome for the participating Swedish companies was to have a profound understanding of how to enter the US market and acquire the right connections to do so.

Approach and implementation

The first 2 days of the 3 day conference was held at the offices of WilmerHale on 60 Sate street, Boston MA. The +20 speakers gave the participants valuable information, insights and answered questions. The dinner on day 2 included all participants + speakers together with local key holders and experts for optimized networking. On the 3d day we did site visits at MIT Despande Centre, MIT Koch Institute (Bob Langer Lab), Kendall Square and Harvard Yard in Cambridge. Given the diversity of the program in combination with the level of the speakers, the event was overall very high quality.
