Call Innovative collaborations with Singapore in quantum technology for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)

Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop and manufacture advanced superconducting quantum components through a collaboration between Sweden and Singapore. The goal is to implement updated circuit designs at the wafer level, enhance quality assurance methodologies, and establish an efficient design-manufacturing feedback loop. The work lays the foundation for long-term international innovation in quantum technology.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in improved superconducting quantum circuits, manufactured at the silicon wafer level with higher quality and reproducibility. Integrated test structures enable better measurements and faster iterations. The effect will be strengthened Swedish quantum competence, deeper cooperation with Singapore and long-term funding for international development of quantum technology.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is being implemented in close collaboration with a partner in Singapore. The work includes transfer of circuit designs, process planning, fabrication of superconducting components on silicon wafers, and integrated quality control. Continuous data sharing and joint evaluation ensure efficient iteration and robust implementation from design to finished department.
