Purpose and goal

The Sweden Singapore Innovation Cluster strengthens relations between Sweden and Singapore through a long-term cluster for deeptech and climate innovation. The goal is to increase collaboration and commercialization of advanced technologies, and to give Swedish startups and innovation environments better access to global markets, capital, and knowledge. The cluster brings together key stakeholders from both countries’ ecosystems and is coordinated by SISP together with Ignite Sweden.

Expected effects and result

SSIC is expected to establish a long-term and sustainable innovation cluster that strengthens relations between Sweden and Singapore. Through 7 work packages, structures are created for business development, internationalization, investment, learning, and system transformation. Expected results include new innovation and investment collaborations, increased knowledge exchange and a strengthened global position for Swedish startups and innovation environments in climate- and deeptech.

Planned approach and implementation

SSIC is led by SISP and Ignite Sweden in close collaboration with Swedish, Singaporean, and Nordic stakeholders. Through seven work packages, structures are built for cluster management, business matchmaking, investor relations, community development, learning, and policy. Activities such as delegation trips, matchmaking, and Nordic Singapore Innovation Days generate concrete collaborations and business opportunities. A sustainable cluster structure is tested, evaluated, and scaled.
