Important results from the project
The purpose and goal of Sweden Israel Innovation Days 2022 was to initiate a platform for collaborations between the countries. We identified at least 1 concrete idea to take forward based on the round tables we carried out, this has led to a feasibility study. We have also initiated the Sweden Israel Tech Community and given the feedback we have received, we have fulfilled the goal and purpose with to initiate and build networks between the countries. 4 large companies, 3 incubators, 5 startups, 3 investors, 60% of whom were women, participated.
Expected long term effects
We achieved the goals of bringing in the four target groups that were in our strategy, 4 large companies, 3 incubators, 5 Startups, 3 Investors of which 60% were women in the delegation. We also managed to build the platform Sweden Israel Innovation Days as well as the Sweden Israel Tech Community, as well a feasibility study has been started regarding knowledge exchange between incubators and large company accelerators between the countries. The expected effect is that we continue to strengthen the cooperation between the countries based on the foundation we created.
Approach and implementation
SIID was initiated in late 2022 with a focus on identifying leaders in sustainability who can participate and drive initiatives as well build knowledge with anchoring and expertise in the respective innovation ecosystems both in Sweden & Israel. Planning and implementation went well and the evaluation that was done showed that the program was qualitative and goal-focused where there was a clear diversification even in the delegation that represented Sweden. The project team has included input on what can be made better and strengthened in the already qualitative program.
