Important results from the project
Sweden Innovation Days is a gathering of forces to put Sweden on the map as an innovation country and create value for our innovation environments and innovative startups. Sweden Innovation Days was organized for the third time 21-23 March 2023, the overarching theme was Let´s enable Innovation that makes a difference. As part, a matchmaking was organized between Swedish and international innovative startups and potential customers/partners in business and the public sector. The matchmaking was arranged by the Swedish innovation ecosystem and partners in selected countries.
Expected long term effects
In total, over 350 speakers participated, and each day began with ministers or state secretaries. Directors general of the authorities Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency participated as speakers. 57 side events were arranged with 43 actors in the Swedish ecosystem as the main responsible for content and arrangements. The project carried out a matchmaking according to Ignite´s needs-based methodology with 10 countries. 357 matchmaking meetings were held, involving 220 startups and 58 Swedish and international large companies.
Approach and implementation
An evaluation was made by the entire project group, who generally agreed that the event had been very professionally conducted, both on the digital platform and in the studio. All partners´ efforts are valued equally, regardless of how much each organization contributed. The joint implementation of SID2023 also creates deeper networks and knowledge between the authorities. The event also creates a great commitment among actors in the Swedish innovation ecosystem.
