Important results from the project
The launch event of Sweden-China Startup Forum September 30th aims to mobilize Sweden´s start-up community of business and innovation hubs, startups, students, investors, universities and organizations, in support of the student-led movement that is Sweden-China Startup Forum (SCSF). A movement that comes alive through yearly arranged start-up events in Sweden and China. Our goal was to gather a broad representation from Stockholm and Sweden´s start-up community, which we succeeded, to realize our joined venture in Stockholm and Beijing 2018.
Expected long term effects
Participants: 13 hubs, 15 speakers, 25 startups, 10 investors, 50 students and 75 others invited. In total we were about 190 participants. Recruited new project group for our operation of 2018. 3 Swedish companies will go to China. Our student group in Beijing has a reference from Sweden to work with. A greater interest that enables more concrete partnerships. Greater interest and understanding of the Chinese market among Swedish hubs and start-ups. To meet the need for a common mobilization for a more accessible and integrated start-up community Sweden and China.
Approach and implementation
Four different panels were conducted. Each panel discussion lasted about 20 minutes with room for the audience members to ask questions. In connection with the fika, mingel and a fair with Swedish hubs were held. We had 8 start-ups selected from 13 hubs and they competed for four prizes. All activities were highly appreciated and we managed what we planned. Much time consisted of pitches and panels, by 2018 we want to arrange more interactive and creative activities where participants meet and get to know each other and be informed through meetings and discussion.
