Important results from the project

The project has led to increased efforts and activities in priority areas for the bilateral strategic partnership between Sweden and Brazil, which includes sustainable mining, bioeconomy, sustainable cities, health and healthcare. The project has created increased understanding and interest from more actors, both in industry and in academia and research institutes, which has created more applications for the calls for proposals that have been implemented. Clear action plans have guided the work

Expected long term effects

The project contributes to increased bilateral cooperation, this to solve common challenges and current needs, this often linked to sustainability and efficiency for both societal benefit and economic growth. The project strengthens bilateral relations and contributes to technological transfer and knowledge exchange that creates stronger competitiveness but also employment for each country.

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of different work streams with a continuous exchange of information via monthly coordination meetings. The challenge, however, was to find synergies between the work streams and the different project participants. The fact that each work stream had reached different levels of maturity made it more difficult to achieve a good exchange of knowledge/experience. A somewhat uneven activity plan also led to an increased concentration of work towards the end of the year.
