Purpose and goal
The project addresses the initiative toward sustainable manufacturing of the parts of composite materials in the aerospace area. The project aims to create a set of solutions to enable sustainable renewal of the tools for composite machining using sustainable tool reconditioning and AI-based diagnostic methods.
Expected effects and result
The consortium expects to develop the knowledge and practical solutions in (a) tool analysis and diagnostics using AI techniques, and (b) develop the tool recondition methods to provide the renewed tool with minimal waste.
Planned approach and implementation
The consortium presents partners from both Sweden and Germany with a strong background in sustainability, manufacturing, and AI. All partners provide their expertise in the management of research projects and strategic decisions regarding the project direction and its alignment with global trends and perspectives.
