Important results from the project

Aim and objective have been achieved within the framework of the project. With the help of Borlänge municipality and SSAB Borlänge (industry), the digital solution has succeeded in balancing digital user-experience with the extensive questionnaire required to carry out an analysis of a location. The analysis of Borlänge as a location has been presented to Borlänge municipality and SSAB Borlänge in a joint meeting. The analysis was received with interest and discussions about joint further work have begun. Other locations and industries has shown interest in testing the prototype.

Expected long term effects

At the end of the project, the prototype will be fully functional and can be tested together with more locations and industries. More tests are already planned in Hagfors municipality and in Alleima. A first version of a business model is also available to enable continued maintenance of the solution, analysis time, and further development. The long term goal is to enable sites/industries to want to follow up their joint efforts for increased attractiveness on an ongoing basis - as well as being able to compare sites regionally/nationally.

Approach and implementation

The process management has been characterized by an experimental exploration with a clear end goal. The project has had a close collaboration between parties: Sticky Beat (digital development of the concept), Effect Innovation (analysis and evidence manager, as well as inventor of the manual tool), SSAB Borlänge (testing industry), Borlänge municipality (testing site) and Jernkontoret/Metalliska material. This ongoing dialogue and tests have been the key to the project´s successful results.
