Important results from the project

There is an increased demand in the manufacturing industry for environments that strengthen companies´ innovative capacity and competence in new advanced technologies. Open environments where companies, researchers and other actors can collaborate are considered to both lower the threshold for innovation, accelerate new business and strengthen competitiveness. This project has carried out a survey of open environments for production research in Sweden, with a focus on digitalisation and testing new technologies related to production.

Expected long term effects

The result of the project is a survey of open environments for production development in Sweden, which are presented in a report. The report is expected to provide increased knowledge about which environments exist in Sweden and what these offer, as well as to stimulate more manufacturing companies to take part in the innovation potential that exists in the environments.

Approach and implementation

The project has been carried out in five sub-steps: Step 1: Identification of current environments to include in the mapping Step 2: Production of preliminary data based on open information about the environments Step 3: Completion of the data through personal contact with each individual environment000XBRXBXR:, analysis and production of deliveries The assessment is that the approach has been efficient and effective.
