Important results from the project
The purpose of the planning project was to create a description of a competence center for a sustainable surface treatment industry - SurfCenter with an associated strong consortium based in the manufacturing industry. The response and involvement from the industrial parties has been even and the application to the Sustainability Competence Center was sent in on 1 March.
Expected long term effects
With a strong centre consortium and a relevant content and efficient organisation, there are good conditions to realise a competence center for sustainable surface treatment that will strengthen the Swedish surface treatment industry.
Approach and implementation
In the planning project, we were able to benefit from RISE´s large organization and when involving colleagues from different parts of RISE working towards a common goal it was possible to take advantage of different skills and use different industrial networks. This has enabled a strong and relevant competence center application.
