Important results from the project
This project aimed to modify Zenicor EKG-2 with new hardware and SW in order to support new mobile network technologies.
Expected long term effects
Zenicor EKG-2 was succesfully modified with support for late generation mobile network technology. The modified device was tested succesfully in Sweden and in several other countries. The new technology increased the performance of the device and widened geographic coverage.
Approach and implementation
The project was divided in three phases. In the first concept phase, hardware suitable for use in project was selected and specifications were determined. In implentation phase, new software was developed together with modifications of casing to support use of new hardware. Finally, two functional units were assembled and used in international testing of the transmission capacity. The new product fulfil the requirements set by the project initially. The external competence recruited to the project with Financial support from MedTech4Health/Vinnova has been essential.
