Important results from the project

The goal of the project was successfully fulfilled with the technical development achieved during the project. It enabled the transition from a lab-scale system into a minimum viable product to showcase all the functionalities and the operation mode along with the peripheral equipment needed for its operation. The remarkable feature of our technology attracted interest from existing stakeholders in the hydrogen economy as well as companies looking for opportunities to shift toward sustainable replacement of fossil fuels.

Expected long term effects

The result of the technical validation shows performance in line with the expected results with efficiency levels at par with the best commercial electrolyzer but offering improved dynamic response and flexible operation. The expected effect of the development during the project is to reduce both the technical and business risk associate to the scaling and adoption of our technology by potential customers as well as the attraction of investors for further financing of the company in its path to commercialization.

Approach and implementation

The project was performed in two work packages related to technical development and business development. The results of the technology development were used as a basis for the customer interviews and the discussion with potential partners. The technical development as well as the business development were conducted throughout the entire project.
