Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to increase the presence of Swedish lightweight actors within the EU´s various networks and programmes. The projec objective was to strengthen cooperation in lightweight with actors in France, Switzerland and Germany to coordinate the roadmaps that addresses the UN climate goals. The project´s objectives were met in almost all cases. The increased international cooperation has exceeded expectations. A clear internationalization strategy is crucial to influence internationally with results and methods developed by strategic innovation programmes.
Expected long term effects
Results: National investments in lightweight in France and Germany compiled from various contacts. Meeting with DG Research Jurgen Tiedje about how European Lightweighting Network can cooperate with Advanced Materials Initiative 2030 Participation in Lightweighting Summit at the Hannover Fair 31 May 2022. German industry delegation with a focus on lightweight received in Sweden. Coordination regarding co-financed calls for proposals with Switzerland/Germany/Austria. Planning of the 3rd European Lightweighting Network Conference 8-9 June 2023.
Approach and implementation
Implementation of the various parts of the internationalization strategy, in work packages divided between Germany, Switzerland and France, see Report Annex.
