Important results from the project

The companies met and exceeded their goals, strengthened their economic sustainability and initiated innovation earlier than expected. The Navigator has provided structure, direction, and a language for innovation and has established professional management processes. They have digitalised and streamlined their operations and are ready for controlled growth. Collaboration between banks, growth platforms and companies has strengthened. Navigator fills a critical gap in Sweden’s innovation system.

Expected long term effects

We are expected to generate long-term effects by strengthening the ability of small and medium-sized companies to grow sustainably through improved financial management, clearer leadership processes, and increased innovation capacity. It creates a permanent structure for collaboration between companies, banks, and growth platforms, reducing risk and improving access to capital and expertise. This will lead to more scalable firms, higher regional productivity, and an effective innovation system.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to plan through the recruitment of 25 scalable companies, objective and process mapping, matching with four navigatorcoaches and regular meetings over two years. The arrangement worked well and provided structure, direction and renewal power in the companies. The banks became an important partner and hybrid meetings made the method accessible. Despite challenges in recruiting female entrepreneurs and the economic situation, the schedule developed as planned.
