Important results from the project
The intention with the project was that through a practical, cross-border cooperation between business, industry, research and art examine the opportunities to develop new bio-based materials for temporary textiles with a short life span, from Swedish bio-based raw materials to an international market. Such a material could, by harnessing existing consumption needs with volatile, compostable products, create added values and competitiveness not only in the Swedish bio-based sector but throughout society.
Expected long term effects
The project has led to the development of a non-linear interaction logical approach to cross-border partnerships as well as several new, radical but promising tracks for the development of the planned material. Promising attempts have been made to implement various bio-based composites with adaptive abilities in non wowen material from the paper machine. The project results will be the basis for several new projects with the intention of developing new bio-based materials, products and services.
Approach and implementation
The project has made successful tests of paper structures in the laboratory and how different bio-based composites with adaptive abilities can create a dynamic and organic decomposition where the requirement of residual material is that it is designed to provide nourishment for new resources. Method development of a non-linear interaction logical approach to innovation has been radical but successful. The project has, through workshops regularly developed the methodology as well as refined the specifications for the material.
