Important results from the project
The focus for the STREAM project has been to speed up the adoption of new technology building on data and informations analysis through applications in industrial automation and transportation. The methods developed in the case studies have been used to develop a toolbox for data analysis which has been made available as Open Source. The toolbox includes components, an architecture for the integration of these, and a method for using the toolbox to solve industrial problems. The project has also described different business models for new services and products building on the toolbox.
Expected long term effects
The STREAM project has delivered: - New products and services that creates value for the participating companies and the society - Modules implementing developed solutions - Exemples that show that the developed concepts work in industrial demonstrators - New business models for sales of functions for advanced automation - Knowledge transfer between industry, academy and institutes through cooperation between partners - New knowledge in the focus area of the project - A large network of interested organizations for exchange of problems and solutions
Approach and implementation
The project has been managed through five work packages: - Project management - Commercialization, markets, business models - Architecture, functions, services - Industrial demonstrators and testing (Case studies: ABB, Bombardier, Prevas(Outokumpu/Uddeholm), Atlas Copco) - Knowledge transfer, dissemination and networking
