Important results from the project
The project itself led to the desired results, i.e. the project objectives were achieved. The strategic purpose of the project, i.e. to establish a cluster of excellence in an area strategic to Sweden, was not achieved, since the conditions for establishing a cluster of excellence changed during the project period. It has become clear during the course of the work that the issues that the project has worked on have too high a technical maturity to be relevant in the establishment of a cluster.
Expected long term effects
An increased understanding of the importance of national cooperation in the field of electric power engineering to support Swedish industry, as a contrast to small-scale calls for proposals by various authorities guided by political priorities.
Approach and implementation
The project was run by a project group where all actors were represented. The group met weekly and prioritized the upcoming week´s activities, which were distributed across the actors. For larger efforts, web pages, workshops and reporting, a smaller working group was put together, which reported to the project group.
