Important results from the project

The Swedish universities´ increased challenges with large, university-wide collaborative projects have been highlighted through this project. The project has had a broad participation of 16 universities with different prerequisites and experience. Through workshops and discussions, proven tools and models have been put together into a Guide to Strategic Partnerships. The project has created incentives and drive for increased work within the universities´ internal organization with good conditions for a higher quality.

Expected long term effects

The project´s expected results are well fulfilled through the structured and proven models and tools gathered in the guidebook. In addition, the results have been disseminated both nationally and internationally through conferences, presentations and seminars. The developed network will continue to be of great importance for several higher education institutions´ future work with strategic partnerships: The exchange of experience both strengthens the profession and contributes with knowledge.

Approach and implementation

The set-up of the project turned out to be very successful. The broad participation of 16 higher education institutions with different experiences of strategic partnerships generated creative workshops in the various work packages. The commitment of the participants also meant that a comprehensive Guide that summarized the work could be compiled. The fact that the Guide was also translated into English has meant that the results have been further disseminated internationally as well.
