Purpose and goal

KI Innovations´ incubator aims to create patient and societal benefit through the commercialization of research-based innovations. The incubator specializes in LifeScience and is designed for knowledge-intensive companies with groundbreaking, sustainable and scalable innovations. This can include new therapies, new diagnostic methods or new technologies for biomedical research. The goal is to develop startups that attract professional capital that enables successful commercialization.

Expected effects and result

Up to 10 new companies are admitted to the incubator annually. Through the incubator, they receive training and education to successfully drive the development of their respective companies. We help them e g with building their teams, developing their business plans and attracting financing. Through our efforts, we will contribute to significantly increase the likelihood of successful commercialization and to increase the number of companies that attract necessary capital for their development.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented in accordance with the description in the application. The incubator model has been built up over more than 10 years. Integrated into it is innovation support for researchers, providing good conditions for efficient resource utilization and long pre-incubation (which is of crucial importance for LifeScience). Another success factor is our scalable business model where we make extensive use of external business advisors to provide each startup with tailored advice.
