Purpose and goal
The purpose of the feasibility study has been to explore the prerequisites and needs for strengthening and developing competence on practical work with impact measurement with the Network for measuring impact as a base. The issues we focused on are: How can we ensure a broader dissemination of knowledge in the field of impact measurement? How can we make knowledge and resources available to more people with retained focus - cross-sectoral, independent, open and with a focus on learning from each other´s practical experiences? A full needs analysis has been carried out and attached below.
Expected results and effects
The preliminary study, which has now been carried out, has explored the conditions for strengthening and developing competence on practical work with impact measurement. The members want to continue develop an independent and cross-sectoral arena for discussion and exchange of practical experience on impact measurement. In short, it can be stated that there is a clear need and a strong demand for a combined knowledge hub for impact measurement in Sweden. The outcome of the analysis is that a project manager has been appointed and continues to work on implementing the recommendations.
Planned approach and implementation
The preliminary study was conducted during the autumn of 2018 and a bit into 2019. During October and November, the focus was on information gathering in survey form and a number of in-depth interviews (14). In January 2019, the collected material was compiled and analyzed and on February 8, the first draft for the Network for measuring social effects was presented and further input was collected through a workshop where the Network together worked on producing recommendations for the way forward.
