Venture Challengedriven innovation - Phase 3 Implementation

Purpose and goal

The overall project objectives were achieved, namely to: - Further develop solutions from SmedpackB for commercialization, in order to have solutions that are as secure, sustainable, cost-effective and producible as possible. The user study showed that Smedpack´s solutions were more appreciated than the reference packaging having the simplest possible seals that meet the minimum requirements of the EU Directive. - Identify, develop and clarify information-based added value from serialisation requirements - Expand the international network - Work in an interdisciplinary way

Expected results and effects

The Smedpack network is generating new collaborations and business relationships, and this effect will continue even after the project is finished. It has already resulted in new applications and commercial partnerships to further develop and produce some of the project solutions and new partnerships were also formed in other contexts.

Planned approach and implementation

The steering committee, with one representative/partner, had the overall responsibility for the exploitation and dissemination of the results. The project was organized with work packages having a multidisciplinary composition - a prerequisite for a successful outcome. An interactive work format facilitated an active contribution by each partner to the content and design of the activities and thus ensured that the entire consortium´s breadth and expertise were utilized. Projectplace was used for document management and dissemination of results within the consortium.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
