Important results from the project

The program works with activities and initiatives to address three main challenges: streamlining value chains; to further develop Swedish cutting-edge competence and to secure the industry´s supply of competence. The forms of intervention that are carried out are mainly appropriate and make an impression in line with the set objective. Several initiatives have the potential to be realized only in the longer term.

Expected long term effects

SES is a well-functioning programme that brings together and highlights an important industry. The program focuses on technology and areas that are important enablers for large parts of Swedish industry, and the potential for technology spread between industries is great. The forms of intervention that are carried out are mainly appropriate and make an impression in line with the set objective. Several initiatives have the potential to be realized only in the longer term.

Approach and implementation

The programme´s focus is well rooted in the Swedish electronics industry. Over one hundred companies and academic organizations participated in the creation of the program´s agenda. Every year, various surveys are conducted among need owners to get the industry´s perception of how the program´s activities can be adapted and changed. The board decides on direction and the program office carries out the daily work according to the board´s guidelines. Board members are nominated by the Nomination Committee in an open process described on the website.
