Purpose and goal
The specific objectives for the feasibility study were to evaluate the technical, commercial and financial feasibility of the concept, outline the demonstration phase and prepare for the exploitation phase. The main deliverable is a business plan shown in the attached feasibility report.
Expected results and effects
The result of the project is that we found feasibility for a continued innovation process. A plan for this process has been outlined. An application for funding from Horizon 2020, SME-instrument phase 2 has been submitted to EU. This will cover the costs for taking SmartPole to market launch. We expect a market introduction within 24 months.
Planned approach and implementation
There were 7 tasks in the project: 1. Preparing for full scale production 2. Preparing for pilot installations on key European markets 3. Preparing for market introduction on the European market (market research and analysis) 4. Develop IPR strategy, innovation management and investigate regulatory issues 5. Develop a Communication strategy 6. Elaboration of a financial strategy 7. Updated business plan / final report
