Important results from the project

Within the framework of the strategic cooperation program for Smart Cities, commissioned by the Swedish Government, the area of digitalization of the planning process is identified as highly prioritized. This Project has aimed at making an inventory of activities and research and development projects currently undertaken within this scope.

Expected long term effects

The report summarises recommendations to the Government to further speed up the development within the area of a digitalized planning process. The most important are 1. coordinated rules and regulations for the built environment. 2. Use of digital methods.3. Test beds and labs. 4. Knowledge leap. Several of these have been put into action.
