Purpose and goal

The purpose is to develop the capabilities of the housing company Helsingborgshem, in cooperation with the city´s care department, to effective support elderly and disabled to remain living at home. The concept is that care administration subscribe to smart technology in homes and make customized service packaging witch they administrate. The project came to the conclusion that they can share common infrastructure and business model which gives social benefits for the individual and sustainable economy. Project results are viable both nationally and internationally.

Expected results and effects

The project suggests two digital bundling is to be created, a privately funded remain-living-package from the housing company and a publicly funded care-package from the municipality. The setup creates a service career with the aim that the customer is autonomous and independent of public welfare as long as possible. The concept can be expanded in future steps that the County Council can be included adding their services and also that private service providers can perform tasks subcontracted. The parties will continue to cooperate, develop and refine their respective offers.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was divided into four work packages (WP) WP 1. A full-scale demo environment including digital infrastructure and services in Helsingborg Hem´s headquarters is built WP 2. The city´s welfare services is integrated to Helsingborgshem´s infrastructure WP 3. Pilot testing. It was decided that only experienced staff could test the service when customers are sensitive to disruptions and interruptions WP 4. The collaboration and business model was created based on shared infrastructure but with separate service packages
