Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop a proposal to EIT Food within Horizon Europe. The focus is on building a strong consortium of actors from Sweden and Spain around two training centers at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp and ETSIA in Seville. The main project is intended to strengthen the actor constellation with local producers, transporters, packaging solutions and warehouses to enable local products to reach consumers.
Expected effects and result
The main project aims to establish training centers for “resilient farming” in Sweden and Spain. These are dedicated to developing the concept and to educating and supporting farmers in “resilient farming”. The main project will mobilize an initial critical mass of local actors who together enable local products to reach consumers, i.e. producers, transporters, packaging solutions, and warehouses. All orchestrated by a digital AI-based business model.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is a collaboration between SLU, Wind turbine capital AB and ETSIA. The project is based on 4 work packages, WP1 Koordinering, WP2 Träningscenter Alnarp, WP3 Träningscenter Sevilla and WP4 Projektbeskrivning and proposal. The proposal focuses on designing training centers to create a new generation of resilient farming experts. We have established contacts in both locations that will be activated.
