Important results from the project
The following objectives were stated: Encourage SMF to actively participate in Swedish mining Innovation -done Identify project ideas that work for the program´s objective -done Create a meeting place between SMFs and larger companies -done -filled Increase SMIs network - meeting place between SMEs and larger companies -done Announce a winner of this year´s innovation idea competition -done
Expected long term effects
The results were fulfilled: -Increased participation of SMEs in Swedish Mining innovation: several new SMEs participated in this year´s innovation idea competition -Identification and realization of project idea (s) working for the program´s objective. -several new ideas identified -To provide a meeting place between SMEs and larger companies -yes -Extended network for Swedish Mining Innovation -yes, several new actors both in the competition and in the audience -Appoint a winner of the year about Swedish Mining Innovation among SMFs -yes
Approach and implementation
This year´s competition was held digitally due to the pandemic - this worked very well. The extra focus we had on the follow-up after the event was successful and led to several new applications within the framework of SMI and through other instruments. It also led to further contacts between SMEs and large companies.
