Purpose and goal

PiiA acts in the market between enabling technology development and the process industry´s need to develop competitiveness and sustainability. The abilities for analysis and knowledge formation, management of the program´s innovation ecosystem and project portfolio contribute to the digital development of the Swedish process industry. PiiA will work to ensure that the access to and use of structured industrial data becomes a success factor for Swedish industrial companies, as well as to develop and share knowledge about IndTech as an enabling technology.

Expected effects and result

- PiiA has created structures and methods so that access to structured data becomes a success factor for Swedish industrial companies. - The companies implement industry-relevant knowledge for their digital transformation to achieve an attractive circular, sustainable, resource-efficient and CO2-neutral industry. - Knowledge about IndTech has been shared in other sectors and PiiA´s knowledge position in general and especially when it comes to AI and digital platforms has developed. - Increased willingness of the companies for investments in digital industrial technology.

Planned approach and implementation

PiiA is organized in three main areas: - PiiA Portfolio: Projects, follow-up of results and effects, as well as initiatives for new projects that contribute to the program´s long-term goals. - PiiA Ecosystem: Networking, collaboration with other programs and related initiatives, companies and academic partners. - PiiA Insight: Insights, analyzes and reports The program office also works with communication with a focus on project results and with internationalization to pave the way for the project´s expansion to international collaborations.
